Jimmy Choo Hunter Wellingtons

Starting the Festivals with a bang is news of Hunters collaboration with Jimmy Choo to produce the most luxurious Wellington boots on earth.

Jimmy Choo was launched in 1996 when Tamara Mellon, Accessories Editor at British Vogue realised the potential demand for stylish but wearable shoes. Tamara partnered with Mr Jimmy Choo to start the ready-to-wear shoe company and opened the first stand alone boutique on Motcomb Street, London along with a strong wholesale business.

Sparking an immediate success amoungst young Hollywood, Jimmy Choo became synonymous with the 'red carpet' shoe of choice for Oscar winners such as Cate Blanchett, Halle Berry, Hilary Swank and many other Hollywood actresses.

So just how did these two British brands meet? Tamara Mellon was inspired by images from the festivals of the hip Brit girls in their wellies. This led to the collaboration with Hunter to produce a sleek interpretation of the British classic".

Today, Jimmy Choo encompasses a complete luxury lifestyle accessory brand and now in collaboration with Hunter they produce a sleek interpretation of the British classic.
